So hey I'm really picky with horror movies.

I've been watching horror since I was a little kid - and nowadays, most horror movies don't do anything to me.

 

Slasher films make me laugh most of the time. Especially Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street.

 

Honestly? The only movies that really fucked me up were Grave Encounters and Jacob's Ladder. Maybe Silent House, but that plot kinda ruined it.

 

My horror has to be entirely psychological. It can't be "AHHHHH SUDDEN LOUD NOISES AND A SCARY FACE". Popouts aren't scary, they're just... Lame.

Other than Jacob's Ladder, the only other thing that comes to mind is Neon Genesis Evangelion.

 

Does anyone know of good psych horror movies? I'm rewatching Jacob's Ladder and it's giving me such life rn

 

If you haven't watched it, y'all need to. Right now. Because it's so fucked up in ways you won't understand until you watch it like 5 or 6 times
