  6. TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — A plane making a second landing attempt in stormy weather crashed at an airport on a small Taiwanese island late Wednesday, killing 51 people and injuring seven, fire officials said. Taiwan was battered by Typhoon Matmo early Tuesday morning, and the Central Weather Bureau was advising of heavy rain through the evening, even though the center of the storm was in mainland China. The flight was heading from the capital, Taipei, to the island Penghu, halfway between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan in the Taiwan Strait. Pictures from the airport showed a handful of firefighters using flashlights to look at wreckage in the darkness. Penghu is a lightly populated island that averages about two flights a day from Taipei. Taiwan's Central News Agency cites the Civil Aviation Administration as saying the flight carried 54 passengers and four flight crew and was operated by a Taiwanese airline, TransAsia Airways.
  7. Tulisa Contostavlos is to open up about her "horrific" ordeal in a BBC Three documentary to air next week. The singer and former X Factor judge, 26, told yesterday (July 21), after her trial for allegedly brokering a drugs deal collapsed, how a year of her life had been "ruined". Cameras have been following the former N-Dubz singer since the story appeared in the Sun on Sunday. The documentary will also feature Tulisa talking to programme makers about her experience after the judge formally threw out the case. BBC Three channel editor Sam Bickley said: "BBC Three has had exclusive access to Tulisa all the way through her ordeal and this hour long documentary will bring you her true story, as events unfolded." Yesterday the singer issued a scathing broadside at undercover reporter Mazher Mahmood, who was the main prosecution witness, after a judge said there were "strong grounds" to believe he had lied on the witness stand and "had been manipulating the evidence". The Sun on Sunday suspended the journalist known as the Fake Sheikh amid questions over whether he could now face a perjury investigation. Tulisa, who had denied brokering a drugs deal, appeared on the steps of the court and called the case "a horrific and disgusting entrapment by Mazher Mahmood and the Sun on Sunday newspaper". She previously appeared in BBC Three documentary Tulisa: My Mum And Me, about being a carer for her mother, who suffers from a mental illness. The show airs at 10pm on BBC Three on July 28.
  8. well i know she's already been recording a second album and i'm pretty sure she will be in demand in regard to interviews etc, so if she works i out cleverly, brings out a new single around the time a new single comes out, she may be okay if she releases a catchy single and get the public back on her side. i think people might think more positively of her now thanks to the revelations today about her being cleared of charges. i know she has a deal for two novels aswell. i hope she can come back, what are your thoughts? but this is obviously from a tulisa fan, so i'm just hoping haha
  9. i dont think i've ever experienced anything but i do believe in the paranormal.
  10. fair enough comment tbh. but she did not deserve any of this at all, to not work for a year due to this i'm shocked Mike GLC got away with it. but in all honesty lots of people can tell and do tell people where to get drugs from.
  11. ikr hopefully she can go back to focussing on her career now, as she hasn't been able to for the past year.
  12. i'm so happy for her that she got off, she did not deserve any of this at all! you could tell she was shaky/getting emotional from the 1 minute mark in the video.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwmYOOKy-8o justice for Tulisa has been served so happy the right decision had been made Singer cleared of organising £820 drug deal between friend and reporter She believed Mazher Mahmood was a powerful Hollywood film producer Judge Alistair McCreath told the jury that the case 'cannot go any further' Judge said there were 'strong grounds to believe' that Mr Mahmood 'lied' Mahmood's driver Alan Smith was central to the collapse of today's case He picked Tulisa up from a hotel where she spoke out against taking drugs However after talking to Mahmood, Smith changed his crucial evidence Her friend Mike GLC was also cleared despite pleading guilty before the trial Tulisa said 'we have now succeeded in exposing the real culprit and liar' Sun confirm Mahmood 'suspended pending immediate internal investigation'
  14. yeah she was on x factor yeah i like live it up but it's one of my least faves on the album. idk why she is hated so much either, i think because of her background being brought up on a council estate tbh, but she's a really nice woman, who i've been very lucky enough to meet
