Baby One More Time, Oops I Did It Again, I'm a Slave 4 U, Toxic, they're all incredibly iconic and successful songs and videos, how could she not win any award for them? It's beyond me, seriously, especially considering that her performances there are some of the most legendary moments of the VMA's. btmyhbrit99 Posted February 17, 2017 #15 Report Share Posted February 17, 2017 The year Toxic was nominated was also the first year of the start of her downward spiral and I think MTV just didn't take her seriously at that point. She won for Circus because they wanted to make up for snubbing her all those times before considering she just came through the breakdown.
