Opinion on Mannequin/Mmm Papi?

So Circus was wildly successful. Obviously. 

 

I see some bitches on Twitter hating every other track tho 

 

So "Mannequin" and "Mmm Papi" seem to be the most hated, for some reason. So I want your opinion. Also, tell me your fave non-single track off Circus because why the fuck not? 

 

IMO:

"Mannequin" was totally of its time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song!! imo people didn't give it the credit it deserved.

"Mmm Papi" is a fun track and I love the beat. Like, shit, I even heard this one on my local radio station back in '08. Why the negative reviews?

Also "Unusual U" and "Phonography" is tied as my fav.

I don't like just vocal content (Layered vocals sucks, maybe full lead did it better) but instrumentals slays

I LOVE Mannequin and Mmm Papi! I don't get the hate towards those songs tbh

From the non-single ones, IT WAS DIFFICULT. Lyrically-wise i love Shattered Glass, i think it should've been a single

I also like Kill The Lights and Amnesia The rest are cool too. I never totally digged Rock Me In or Phonography but i don't dislike them, they're just... okey

Circus is an underrated album. The whole "this is her comeback after the breakdown" vibe at that time actually overshadowed what the album was. Mmm Papi is not my favorite but its cute and I love the 60s beach party inspiration which almost no one does this days. Mannequin is flawless but it's not the easiest to digest for non fans since she's so digitized and effected on the track. I love how it's basically a continuation of OIDIA.
